Unity not adding installed programs to the applications list; Ubuntu Natty

It has come to my attention over the past couple of weeks that the Unity "dash" does not add a newly installed program into the list of applications until I have restarted the computer. The only way you can find the newly installed program is to search for it until it shows up in the list, or until it finally shows up in your most frequently used apps.

I have also noticed that it sometimes has trouble removing applications from this list as well. For example, Teamviewer (http://teamviewer.com) fails to be automatically removed, even though it is being removed through the package manager.

Is that still an issue in the fully update Natty? I have not seen any other reports on the same issue.
