Bug Description
Novice users cannot discern their version of nova via the command line (this has come up on IRC over four times this week alone). While this is available via the logs, the version should be quick and easy to find without parsing the logs. There should be a command line tool/option to quickly and easily present this to the administrator.

FYI, we save Fix Released for when the fix goes into an actual release. Fix Committed is for when the fix hits trunk.
