Bug Description

Empathy master (will be in 3.1.1) now supports marking unread messages, also known as the red line in xchat[1]. This is done using new adium theme capabilities that adium-theme-ubuntu (and all themes from adiumxtra[2] as far as I can tell) does not use yet.

The adium theme spec[3] defines a %messageClasses% keyword that themes can set in the html and empathy will replace it with the proper classes. For example: <div class="%messageClasses%">, and then in the theme's CSS those "focus" and "firstFocus" classes can render that message differently.

For example the Stockholm theme displays a blue bar on the right of the message if it is unread[4]. Note that the Stockholm theme found on adiumxtra does not support this, only the one shipped from adium's source code[5] is up to date.
