Bug Description

On bug report 74286 I reported both blue lines across the screen and also the fact that I had NO mouse movement once the DESKTOP CD had reached the desktop.

I just downloaded and did a test boot of the DESKTOP CD version for Ubunut/gnome I386 file dated 12-23-2006 and I am happy to report that apparently the problem with the NO mouse movement upon getting to the desktop when booting from the DESKTOP CD has been fixed.

However, I am still seeing the 2 horizontal rows of blue lines across the screen just at or just below the scroll bar during the initial boot phase when the scroll bar status has gotten just about all the way across in it's processing and just before it blanks the screen to go on to the loading of the desktop of the installation. The blue lines appear to be perhaps about the size of periods or commas and run all the way from the left of the screen to the very far right edge of the screen.

I have not yet tested with an installation of the O/S to the hard drive to see if this behavior is still present when booting to a hard drive installation. I will try to test that tomorrow and make further report if necessary.

I know that this is probably just something minor and is basically comestic in nature but I still feel that it needs to be fixed because something like this especially at the very first part on an O/S installation could give a first time user of this O/S a bad impression of the integrity of this O/S.

Thanks for your attention to this problem.

Thanks for your report, I'm happy you got the mouse issue fixed but you can just add that to your initial report, we don't need two of the same so I'm just going to mark this as a duplicate.
