Message Pop-ups from Empathy

Binary package hint: empathy

I am being pummeled with messages in Empathy. All they are user names with no message in the box. I've gotten dozens of them, all different user names. Here is one of them: arrhenius_pestle. I have no idea why I'm being sent all these names by Empathy, but I'm worried that someone is doing this.

Yes, I think they're messaging my yahoo account. I have no idea how to
block them or turn of messages from people who aren't on my list.

in Ubuntu 11.04 you can block contacts, can you check in Ubuntu 11.04 please and let us know if the issue is fixed.
