Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-appmenu
After launching a menu (e.g Edit) via a keyboard shortcut (Alt+E) or clicking the edit menu, it is impossible to activate any of the menu entries which have underlined characters. For example, in Thunderbird, Alt+E A used to open Account Settings, but this no longer happens.
Escape which used to close menus does not work either. This may be an indicator-applet issue instead, considering that none of the indicator menus seem to listen to keyboard shortcuts at all.

Hmm, arrow keys don't work either. Menu navigation has become effectively useless without a mouse.
