Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-control-
The last version of the Kernel where this problem DIDN'T happen was 2.6.32-35. With every kernel since, as the number of open apps (and, I'm assuming, memory usage) increases there are jags where the trackpad or mouse become almost non-moving. The speed of the cursor motion drops to almost zero and the delay is astonishingly long. Eventually, if you stop moving and wait, the mouse will catch up to your current position, but any usage thereafter causes the same problem. Stopping and restarting doesn't help. When I revert to the kernel mentioned above it works fine, but every kernel since has had the problem. The problem seems much worse when the PC is attached to its docking station, but even when using the PC on its own I can see the small blips that will, I know, mean the mouse/trackpad will be unusable the next time I hook it up to the docking station.
