Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Some times a blue triangle appears in the upper left corner of the screen, it's nor really blocking any thing but looks out of place. It often goes away after minimizing the current program.

Hello Ajenbo, the little blue triangle is an indicator that shows when an application is requesting user attention (for instance, a dialogue pops up).
The blue indicator triangle was added in 3.8.6-0ubuntu1 (bug #755286) and replaces a previous solution in which the Ubuntu (the BFB or Big Friendly Button) itself turned blue (LP: #744973). This change was made following user-testing which showed that although people notice a blue mail icon, people don't notice a blue icon. The blue triangle is noticed (as you have noticed) but perhaps the connection/meaning is not immediately obvious.
The triangle is in the corner, and indicates the direction/place that the user needs to move the cursor in order to reveal the auto-hidden Launcher.
