Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception:

All the VDR plugins need to be rebuilt against the current VDR version
that got synced earlier, see bug 762558. Easiest to just sync them,
despite there being a couple of new upstream versions among them.

This one probably needs a more detailed explanation:

The new VDR version supports HD broadcasts, and for that it needs this
plugin to display the picture on a framebuffer or an X session. It's
constantly getting bugfixes, and for that reason alone the new
snapshot is desirable.

I'm running yavdr on my VDR box, which is a distro built on lucid + several backports. It has a vdr-plugin-xineliboutput snapshot from last month, I'll try this one next..
