Bug Description

Binary package hint: rtorrent

I'm using Ubuntu Edgy(amd64). Rtorrent from universe repos crashes every time I try to open torrent. rtorrent version 0.5.3-1 and libtorrent version 0.9.3-1
It gives error "File Manager::erase(...) could not find File Meta in container." Though I'm not sure is this fault of rtorrent or libtorrent....

I compiled newer libtorrent and rtorrent versions directly from rtorrent website and it works fine...

I'm sorry about this. This is false bug report. The crash happened because I added in my ~/.rtorrent.rc file "directory=$HOME/downloads" And rtorrent cannot handle variables in config file.

And newer version does not crash because this, it just complains that it cannot find directory. So this is not a bug, it was my stupidity.
