I have an nvidia 7300GS card and the new proprietory drivers have not seem to have fixed the xserver 1.10 errors. It hangs when running unity or compiz.

I have the same problem i think. See my remarks (#90 and #91) at bug 728745. I am using the recommended version of the nvidia driver.
