I've marked this as a duplicate of #767997 as a matter of efficiency.

William:
Your DpkgTerminalLog.gz file contains:

Setting up apport (1.20.1-0ubuntu3) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/default/apport ...
start: Job failed to start
invoke-rc.d: initscript apport, action "start" failed.
dpkg: error processing apport (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Are you sure you tried this with 1.20.1-0ubuntu5 as reported in the bug summary?

Unmarked as duplicate as this version doesn't match #767997.

Sorry, I would say version 1.20-1-0ubuntu4 but it seems it's not the version 0ubuntu5.
