Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

On the ubuntu-users list someone recently asked how to disable ctrl+alt+delete for restarting X. I thought I'd seen the solution in the documentation so I searched separately for "ctrl+alt+backspace", "ctrl-alt-backspace" and "restarting x". None of these returned any results.

They should have returned links to the desktop guide section called "Preventing the Ctrl-Alt-Backspace shortcut keys from restarting X".

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Do you have beagle installed?

Edgy with Beagle gives the results above.
Edgy without Beagle gives some okay results, the correct link is at least on the page, but a fair way down.
Feisty without Beagle gives lots of results but the correct link is no-where to be seen. It looks as though it's not giving priority to "restarting x" as a phrase, it turns up many results with "x" or "restarting" but not with them together.

The search not being optimal is already described with bug #39451. The problem with beagle is bug #67778 which has been fixed

It's 2.16.1 in edgy and 2.16.2 in feisty.
