As title says... plymouth is not centered, but instead in left upper corner. The resolution seems to be alright though.

I'm seeing this too, I'm also using a Nvidia Card (Geforce 7600GS, with propritary drivers enabled). Native resolution of my screen is 1280x1024, Grub detects this correctly.
I am attaching a photo showing the non-centered splash screen.
Note that on the very first boot after installation (before I installed the propritary drivers) no splash was shown at all and my screen disabled itself (showing "No signal"), but this is a different bug perhaps?
