compiz at 100% cpu when a 2nd monitor is connected

Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

compiz process stay at full cpu.
may be related to bug #761634

no issue at all with only internal lcd (chip intel 945GM intregrated)
came back to normal behaviour once external display is disconnected.
Once 2nd screen connected, the sluggy refresh come back, and compiz stay
at full cpu. graphical Resfresh takes 1 to 2s

the issue is reproductible 100% once I connect my 2nd monitors.
no issue at all with only internal lcd display (one monitor)

Hello,
I've just try it and yes same issue on classic gnome session.
manage to crash compiz on this one, send bug data off this classic gnome
session try on bug #767094

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
