cari, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please attach the Pastoriaus Mozes tarnavimai 2k.doc file that when saved to html causes this crash?

Yes I can.
I open this doc, edit - select all, reduce size of fonts from 24 to 14 and first try export to html, but I has message "unable write in this directory" (or something like this), after I do save as html and it was successful. Crash happen when I close LibreOffice.

@Cari, many thanks.

I was able to reproduce this following these exact steps:

1) Get the file and open it for editing:
$ wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/766254/+attachment/2071486/+files/Pastoriaus%20Mozes%20tarnavimai%202k.doc
$ lowriter Pastoriaus\ Mozes\ tarnavimai\ 2k.doc

2) Select "Edit > Select All", change font size to 14

3) Select "File > Export > XHTML" ( from the list proposed at the bottom ), click "Save"

4) Try to exit LibreOffice writer with Ctrl-Q, this will propose to save - click "Save"

5) Choose "Keep current format" for the next question

6) The following information is displayed as LibO writer crashes while exiting. The crash is apparent as multiple dialogs prompt to send a bug report.

$ lowriter Pastoriaus\ Mozes\ tarnavimai\ 2k.doc

As a workaround, after changing font sizes, save the file to either .DOC or .ODT formats. When doing that I didn't experience the crash. Migrating such documents to ODT would also be recommended.

cari, this issue is unreproducible using Ubuntu 10.10, LibreOffice Writer via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/766254/+attachment/2071486/+files/Pastoriaus%20Mozes%20tarnavimai%202k.doc && lowriter -nologo Pastoriaus\ Mozes\ tarnavimai\ 2k.doc

Select all -> change font size to 14 -> File -> Export ->File name: Pastoriaus Mozes tarnavimai 2k - File format: XHTML (.html;.xhtml) -> Export button -> File -> Close -> Discard button

notice no crash.
