Bug Description
Binary package hint: casper
This is really a follow-up on bug 750140 at the request of Matthew Paul Thomas. I only ended up looking there due to some recent comments at bug 657086.
Anyway, after removing the "Log Out" option I notice there is however a "Switch from ubuntu" option and selecting that does dump one back at the login screen, but after reselecting the user name "ubuntu" and changing the DE session to either classic or classic w/o effects the Unity desktop still comes up.
However if you Alt + SysReq + K, login as ubuntu, and select a different DE the selected DE choice does appear as desired.
I hope this makes sense. It's hardly a big deal.

We no longer have multiple DE and this isn't really a casper bug anyway.
