Binary package hint: audacity

okay thats wishlist
for avoiding error message because of "initialisation error E/A Host" or something (my message is german) i have to make "killall artsd" when soundsystem was used recently - isn't it possible to let this do audacity?

My understanding is that recent versions of artsd should release the hardware devices after 60 seconds without any sounds. Does this match your experience, or does it take much longer before audacity can play or record?

Now that pulseaudio is standard, and audacity can playback/record through pulseaudio (at least in Jaunty), is this still an issue?
