Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

wasp, thanks for this bug report, and sorry we didn't get to it until now.

There have been two code changes to address DatabaseCorruptError problems, one in April 2011 (r1702) and one in September 2011 (r2331). There have been no DatabaseCorruptError bug reports since then, so it's likely this bug has been fixed. If you experience a similar problem in future, please report it as a separate bug. Thanks!
