"Take Screenshot" Application Captures Select Region with Screenshot

When using the "Take Screenshot" application in 11.04 Beta (as of April 18th 2011), I've noticed that the produced screenshot has a layer over the desired image - it looks like the application is also partly (or mostly) capturing the selection region when used to specify an area to screenshot.
