Bug Description
With 5.0.1 and trunk (518) it doesn't find libextractor upon scanning. An strace shows that it searches the lib paths for libextractor.
The system libextractor is 0.6.2 which has the libextractor.

What distro are you using? Basenji is not compatible with libextractor 0.6, it supports 0.5 only.
However, libextractor will be dropped in favor of taglib in the next release anyway.
There's a branch already, you could try lp:~pulb/basenji/basenji-taglib and see if it works for you.
