Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

I'm on a KUbuntu 11.04 b2.

Having issues with sound (flash plugin uses sound, yet amarok doesn't). Installed vlc and tried. A huge leak in memory sent me to install ffmpeg and try again. Configured vlc to use alsa (which I currently have in 1.0.24) and tried. Finally it sounds properly but when closing VLC, the "an application crashed" arised and I didn't know what did I do in order to reproduce the error.

Looks like this issue in VLC stops showing up if ffmpeg is installed.
