Did the system actually lock up or did it just display the error message?

Have you encountered this bug previously? Or only after updating to natty? Or only the one time? Are you able to reproduce it reliably?

The system has just displayed the error message, it didn't lock up. I haven't experienced this bug in Maverick.
Also, the S-video output was simply black screen, though the desktop got wider in Compiz (see bug #763688). I haven't tried to reproduce it yet but I will do it ASAP.

Probably just cause the apport hook got turned off yesterday for the release.

Anyway, it's probably just the usual vesafb/i915 catfight. Will dupe to the corresponding bug report.
