GTK applications crash while accessing the menu

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

To reproduce, simply access the menu of any GTK application. Reproducable in both unity and classic.

The bug appears to be a race condition. It is harder to reproduce when using light-themes because they render the menu so slowly.

Almost certainly bug 703988 but I can't reopen that one so opening a new bug instead.
