Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
When booting in 2.6.20, suddenly /var/log/messages is spammed with:

I had similar problem. Turning off pcmcia in /etc/defaults/ pcmcia and /etc/defaults/ pcmciautils solved it for me.
