Bug Description
This is a default (Vanilla) install of KUbuntu 6.10. After the install, the Video resolution was at 1024x768.
After going in through the GUI and disabling power management, the Video resolution dropped to 800x600 after a reboot.
After trying to get the 1024x768 screen back using the GUI, it finally dropped me down to 640x480.
The only way that I found to recover from this is to restore the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Thanks for the report. Which kind of graphics card do you have? Can you also attach your xorg file? This is important to make sure there is not a mis-configured xorg.conf file.
