Some GUI apps do not appear in Unity Launcher when running and therefore can not get focus back on app

I ran TrueCrypt and mounted a drive, I then clicked on the red cross on the truecrypt app. Once I had finished with my files I then launched truecrypt again, only to get an error that the app is already running. I now do not know how I can bring the app back in to focus in order to un-mount my volume. Traditionally when closing the app with the red button I would get a truecrypt icon in the top pannel in gnome. Unity should have running apps in the bar, this does not appear to always happen.

Could you stop closing those bugs Alex, those are real issues with softwares we ship in Ubuntu and we can't discard those this way, we need to make sure we have design plans for each broken case and whitelist things until fixed in needed

Has there been any progress on this bug yet? Is there any chance we will see a fix for natty? Has the "design decision" been made to fix this for oneiric unity?

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 11.04 reached EOL on October 28, 2012.
