Bug Description

Please sync pytrainer 1.8.0-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
There were two Ubuntu deltas:
1) Swapping the iceweasel Depends with firefox | abrowser. This is now in Debian.
2) Dropping dependency on python-glade2. This was incorrect. It was claimed that the code now uses gtkbuilder, but it does not. It still has glade files and imports gtk.glade.

Syncing will fix LP: #760885 which prevents pytrainer from being run at all.

Changelog entries since current natty version 1.7.2-1.1ubuntu1:

pytrainer (1.8.0-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * new upstream release
    - fixed problem with missing config (closes: #581991)
  * ACK NMU (closes: #591983)

The merge request and the NEWS of the new version show quite some new feature and new code, the update should rather be delayed to next cycle, Xavier would you like to backport the fix to the issue described there rather for natty?

Yes Sébastien, sure that there are quite some changes between those two versions.
That said, 1.8.0 sits in debian unstable (and has been migrated to testing) for quite a while to be considered mature code, but what works in Debian might not in Natty...
So I will then try to propose a patch that fixes only LP: #760885 .

Now that Natty is out, won't this automatically get sync'd for Oneiric?

No, pytrainer has Ubuntu changes. It should be fine to sync *once the archive opens*.

Hey, Steve...*very* long time our paths haven't crossed..:-)

I'm fairly new in pytrainer maintenance in Debian (Noèl is certainly
the main maintainer and did well up to now....I'm just trying to get
more involved as I'm now, finally, a pytrainer user!)...but couldn't
we work to resync those changes in Debian.

Or maybe they're really Ubuntu-specific?

I'm reopening the sync request since Oneiric is open now.
