I believe this to be a security issue, as I am unable to backspace, so I'm thinking that it's redirecting me to https://home.clearwire.com/ for some reason, and this is after going home and opening my tabs in my own apt, far from my friends wireless, I believe this to be a security issues, not that it's going to home.clearwire.com, but that it is redirecting me to a site I don't want to go to

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
