Bug Description
As per this bug: https:/
Overview:
Before Banshee 2.0, you could use a helper in Docky to control Banshee
via the dock through the context menu for the Banshee icon. This is no longer
possible with Banshee 2.0.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Banshee while using Docky.
2. Right click on Banshee icon to bring up the context menu.
Actual Results:
Banshee icon remains the same, no cover art shown.
Context menu does not show options for Pause/Play, Prev and Next.
Expected Results:
When a song is playing or paused, the Banshee icon is replaced by the cover art
of the current song, and the time to song completion is displayed in a
circle/bubble overlaying the cover art.
Context menu shows options for Pause/Play, Prev, Next.
Other information:
Filed this bug under Docky on the suggestion of one of the Banshee developers, who says that this issue is 'probably caused by the rename from "banshee-1" to "banshee" that happened before (Banshee) version 1.9.6. In particular, this is the case
for the .desktop file.' On a related note, I've read in comments on OMG Ubuntu that a similar problem affects AWN users.
