Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

I opened Firefox and clicked the Restore button on the Session Restore page. Ubuntu hung.

Sound continued to play and I could still move the mouse, but Ubuntu wouldn't respond to any clicks, key-presses, or touching the top-left corner.

I managed to collect information from ubuntu-bug by dropping to a Terminal, which I attach.

Are you sure it isn't just hanging because of the disk errors?

I can confirm this, when Firefox is restoring a session Compiz often hangs, and sometimes my entire session ends suddenly (or in other words, I am logged out suddenly and without notice)

I can't reproduce this, Could you please follow the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Unity/FilingBugs#Getting%20a%20stack%20trace and attach unity.log to this bug report?

I'm not sure, but some update recently may have fixed it. It hasn't happened again accidentally, but I'll try to do it on purpose.
One other thing that may help, for me it only occurred after I had run killall5 in tty6 after a compiz crash.
killall5 logged out my session by killing gdm, then gdm restarted, I logged back in, firefox tried to restore, and it acted like killall5 ran again (quickly ending my session and sending me back to gdm)
