Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Instructions to reproduce:
- Press Ctrl-Alt-Right from the first workspace, and keep holding Ctrl-Alt.
- The viewport preview (which is in "live preview" mode by default) remains on screen. When the animation finishes, the top-left viewport preview will darken, as in the attached screenshot.

This does not happen if there is a bubble notification active, for some reason. A few weeks ago this affected all viewports, but after an update it started happening to only one of them.

This bug changed in oneiric: instead of the first workspaces becoming darker, all of them become transparent (as if live previews was only active during desktop moves).

However this behaviour has disappeared with today's unity updates, and it works normally now. Will flag this as Fix Released.

Changed in compiz (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released
