Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdc-4.4

when installing under natty (sudo apt-get install gdc OR sudo apt-get install gdc-4.4), it tries to install gcc 4.4 too, while gcc 4.5 is already provided by natty.
please update the gdc (and create a gdc-4.5) package to the gcc version underlying in natty (i.e. 4.5).

I've been a bit busy lately to put a package together (though there is one for testing in my PPA) - I would have thought that by now the package window would be closed by now?

I understand. However, why the gdc-4.5 package is denoted with 0.26? (0.26-4.5.2-2ubuntu1~ppa2). It is a D1 or a D2 package?
While the package window might be closed, I think avoiding installing gcc 4.4 on a Natty system is quite an improvement (or, you could say, a bug fixed), that will allow pushing for an update of this package.
Note that this might be presented as a update to the http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/gdc package, and not necessarily as a new (possibly http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/gdc-4.5) package.
Anyway, it was just a proposal. I understand that you might be overwhelmed with other tasks. Unfortunately, I cannot help much in packaging. I appreciate your work of taking gdc to further edges, so I do not insist. Thank you, anyway. Keep up the good work, it is great!
