It seems to be fixed in Unity 3.8.6, I have been working for more than one hour and no freeze.

I talked too fast. I just got the freeze again. X windows is not responding, everything is working fine in the background. The mouse cursor moves around but nothing can be clicked. I killed the session (first generated bug.apport which I attch), tried to log in back to unity and now the session was frozen right from the beginning. Back to Ubuntu classic I got report of Unity crash which I will report separately and duplicate to this bug.

The two crash reports that I got after logging back in, bugs 758462 and 758459 , I'm not sure if they are related to this one. The first one is an Ubuntu One crash and the second one a gnome-disk-utility crash. A duplicate of this second one has been marked as invalid because the use had some stuff of Gnome 3, but I haven't messed around with Gnome 3 at all, at least not consciously.

Yours seems to be different, first the graphic cards are note the same, and second, in my case the mouse cursor moves and I can got out from the frozen session with CTRL-ALT F1 or F2.

Right now is really bad, though, it freezes immediately after login into Unity, after I open any application of the launcher or if I click any indicator in the panel.

I can move cursor, for first 1-2 minuts but i can't do anything. I can do CTRL-ALT F1 etc..
After 2-3 minutes freeze cursor and keyboard, and i can't do anything, CTRL-ALT F1 too

With the updates received on April 15 these (immediate) freezes seem to have gone away. I've been working for 2 hours with no problem, so I close this bug.
