Bug Description
I added "bzr add"ed, then realized that one of the added dirs was formerly under git control. So I "rm -r"ed the .git subdir, hoping that "bzr commit" would just run fine. Unfortunately, it crashed. I attach a transcript of the session.
FYI a next "bzr commit" advised me to do a "bzr update", which I did; as far as I can tell, the situation is now fixed. In case you would need it, I still have a copy of my whole repository before running the "bzr update".

This has already been fixed; if you upgrade bzr the problem should not happen again. If you need help updating, just ask.
