Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

This was a fresh install of Xubuntu 10.10 to test. Running Alt+F2, update-manager -d, shows the update manager, but no upgrade to be done. /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades has "Prompt=normal".

Thanks for your bugreport.

What is the output of:
$ tail -n25 ~/.cache/update-manager-core/meta-release-development

Does it help if you run:
$ http_proxy="" update-manager -d
?

This may be a proxy issue, the code uses if-modified-since http headers.
