Bug Description
Binary package hint: alacarte
I tried to add a new application in the Programming menu. When I clicked New Item, it crashed. The only content in the menu was "Python (v2.7)", but this one was disabled.
The error:
alacarte crashed with OSError in _execute_child(): [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Same error message on Oneiric, 64bit, Radeon.
Reproducable in Unity session.
Open alacarte from dash.
Right click on any application entry to view properties, e.g. gedit, tomboy, xdiagnose, help, terminal, or use the dialog button on the right hand side.
Apport popup says everytime ... main menu was unexpectly terminated.
One could ask why alacarte is available in Unity session or why would a user open it in the first place, maybe to look up an application cmd.
