Bug Description

I am a student of PHP so I am relatively new to it. I am using BlueFish to edit my php web files but when I click on the little Earth icon, nothing happens. I am expecting the browser to execute my file. I checked in Preferences/External and I placed Mozilla at the top of the list and deleted others I am not using. Still nothing.

Do I need an Add-on or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Bluefish executes the first (top) browser command in the list. What happens, if you execute the command (see Edit > Preferences) in a shell?

Hi David

Bluefish came with the following script for the Mozilla entry:

"mozilla -remote 'openURL(%s, new-window)' || mozilla %s&"

which did not work at the command line saying "Mozilla is not installed"

I changed it to "Firefox %s" which now does indeed bring up the web page. I'm happy

Good advice and thanks very kindly
andrew

The list should contain an entry for firefox. We ship it for some time now. The entry just needs to be placed to the top. Closing.

Changed in bluefish (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Now you have to mark it as standard browser instead of moving it to the top of the list.
