Bug Description
Ubuntu does not shutdown sometimes.
If I start a new session and select shutdown from the applet, it does shutdown.
If I use the computer for a while, selecting shutdown from the applet does not shutdown the system. This happens sometimes and in more than one computer (both laptops, one Toshiba Qosmio X500 and one Toshiba Satellite M640).
Sometimes, when it fails to shutdown from the applet, I can shutdown by typing in the terminal: "sudo shutdown now", but again, this does not work all the time.
Also, in one of the computers, I could see (after pressing Esc in the shutdown screen), that the last message shown is: "Disabling power management". After it's printed, the system freezes.

Just an update, in the toshiba Qosmio I get a red screen after the ubuntu screen (I don't know its name, but it is the same one that shows up during boot before login in). At that point, the computer freezes and the only way I can turn it off is by forcing a shutdown.
