Installing flash plugin on Edgy Eft does not include flash into Epiphany or Firefox

Bug Description

I've installed the Flash plugin with the application installer program and it said it was sucessfull but there is still no flash plugin with Epiphany or Firefox.

Version is Edgy Eft.

Hello Frank,

Thank you for the bug report, can you confirm for me which plugin you are using, as this exact package is unsupported under Edgy. If this is unavailable could you try installing the flashplugin-nonfree and see if the issue is still arising.

The Application Installer is referring to the version available at adobe.com. Frank, if you install flashplugin-nonfree this will fix your issue.

Since the bug reported is for the downloadable one and not the one from the Ubuntu repositories, I am going to close this bug. If your issue lies within the one from the Ubuntu repositories, please open a new report using 'flashplugin-nonfree' as the package affected. Thank you.

I am going to reopen this and try to confirm this issue shortly with a new install. Thanks for clarifying the description.

Rich, if I recall correctly flash-player isn't even in the repositories. Here is the proof (with multiverse & universe installed)
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-cache search flash-player
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$
