Bug Description
Binary package hint: nagios-text
Distro: Edgy
Package: nagios-text 1.4-1ubuntu1
All files in /etc/nagios are installed as belonging to group = 'root'
When nagios starts up, this causes multiple access problems
To fix the problem
sudo chgrp www-data /etc/nagios/*

I just test it on a fresh Edgy install, and all files belongs to group www-data (only cgi.cfg is root:root).
Did you do something (run an external configuration script for Nagios) that could have change this ?
