Mantas Kriaučiūnas (mantas) wrote : Nvidia 6150 (10de0244) not detected - incorrect line in /lib/discover/pci.lst

Problem is in /lib/discover/pci.lst file - VGA card Geforce 6150 Go (10de0244) is described as unknown PCI Express Bridge:

grep -n 10de0244 /lib/discover/pci.lst
2731: 10de0244 unknown unknown C51 PCI Express

Btw, at http://pciids.sourceforge.net/pci.ids.gz this PCI id is described as VGA card:

10de 0244 C51 [Geforce 6150 Go]

Please fix line 2731 in /lib/discover/pci.lst or remove this line at all (then discover package will detect this card as NVIDIA and choose nv driver)

Thanks for the tip! After applying the fix, here's what I get at the command-line:
brad@brad-laptop:~$ sudo discover --disable-all --enable=pci --format="%S\t%D\n" video
XFree86 nv

NOTE: This is with discover1. Which discover does feisty use?

Thank you. I ran a "dpkg-reconfigure xorg" and it detected correctly.
