[Studio 1558, IDT 92HD73C1X5, Mic, Internal] Recording problem

I recently upgraded from Maverick to Natty; this laptop has stereo internal mic's and an additional line-in for use with a headset.

Prior to upgrade these where all working fine; post upgrade I can't get any of them to work.

I've tried switching sources manually, recording with sound recorder and using the audio setup wizard in mumble but non of them can hear me.

Hi, this might or might not be a duplicate of bug 731706 - the machine is the same and the symptoms similar. Could you verify?

Looks like it is; managed to get the internal mic working by following the instructions in that bug. External line-in is still non-functional though.
