Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

This may be a duplicate of #753054, which may be a duplicate of #747692, which in turn may be a duplicate of #738665. I'm not sure but I wanted to make sure the debug info is delivered successfully.
What happens is the GUI freezes for several seconds, then all windows collapse and are re-drawn. The first time it happens, a crash report appears, but not in subsequent crashes.
It has been happening to me in every single session after Unity 3.8.2 update, which I must say has been a disaster for me.
This bug has been triggered by mainly the use of the Alt key and any combinations of it with other keys. Ctrl-Alt-T (terminal), Alt-Back, Alt-Tab, Alt-F2, Alt-Z (which is my shortcut for overlay resizing), all caused this crash numerous times. Plus, this crash occurs even without the use of Alt key, like by clicking on a Firefox button, etc.
I know you guys are bugged with bugs but this one here is a show-stopper and it has to go away before final release.
Let me know if you need more info.
