Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

When running Unity, I notice that the Ubuntu Button in the top left corner is missing and the rest of the panel (close, minimize, maximize, title, menu) is shifted to the left.
When dialing down the opacity of the panel using ccsm, I notice that there is a second panel underneath the one I'm seeing initially which does include the Ubuntu Button.

FWIW, I get the same issue with both the installed ubuntu and the beta live cd.

I just noticed something which might help reproduce and/or narrow down this bug: I have two monitors connected to my graphics card, but, since I usually only use one of them, I didn't change the default setting of "Same image in all monitors" (in the Monitor preferences). Now that I have unchecked this option, the panel works as intended.

I have the same problem. This happens when booting from live CD, and also on the installed (and updated) 11.04.

And, I also have two output devices - 1 monitor and 1 projector. But, for me, option "Same image in all monitors" was already checked, and changing it doesn't seem to change anything.
