Binary package hint: compiz

i upgraded to ubuntu 11.04 five days ago. everything was ok. today i've upgraded a bunch of packages. i've rebooted and i get my desktop wallpaper and a cross-shape pointer. if i open the terminal and load compiz, everything becomes normal (unity loads, etc). cardapio hasn't loaded either.
