Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Ubuntu 10.10, gnome-control-center 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu2

When I click Install Font in gnome-font-viewer, the button changes to Install Failed. If I run gnome-font-viewer with gksudo, the font installs successfully. I expect gnome-font-viewer to know that installing fonts requires root, since that's the case in a fresh Ubuntu installation, and to use gksudo accordingly.

Unless, of course, it's already running as root.

That configuration dialog is deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric so closing the bug, feel free to open new bugs about other issues you might find though

Changed in gnome-control-center (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid
