Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Unity should not start the last selected application when something was typed in between. In details:

1) Press Alt+F2
2) Type "gedit"
3) Press enter to start it
4) Press Alt+F2, quickly type (e.g.) "x", press enter
result: gedit is started again.

This happened to me twice now, on a moderately fast netbook. (Of course, instead of "x", I typed a full application name, "vym"). It can be very annoying if the application takes a while to launch.

Expected outcome: Unity never launches the "old" application when *anything* was typed in between. It should either start the newly typed application or don't do anything if it's not ready yet.
