installation of 11.04 beta 1 fails while setting up basesystem

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

when trying to install ubuntu 11.04 beta 1 desktop amd64 on a virtualbox image the installation fails

a window pops up saying:
Ein Fehler trat beim Installieren von Paketen auf:

E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Die folgenden Pakete sind defekt:

Der Fehler kann durch die Verwendung eines veralteten Installationsprogramms auftreten oder von den obigen Paketen verursacht worden sein. Näheres finden Sie in der Protokolldatei »/var/log/syslog«. Die Installation wird fortgesetzt, kann aber zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt scheitern. Möglicherweise können dann nicht alle erforderlichen Pakete installiert oder entfernt werden. Sie sollten überprüfen, ob eine neuere Version des Installationsprogramms vorliegt oder den Fehler dem Hersteller melden.

ps.: it leads to a broken system because the complete post-installation stuff wont get executed. after that popup the installation process is terminated ... so the system is unusable

Thanks for your report.

The error is caused by flashplugin failing to install on amd64
nspluginwrapper: no appropriate viewer found for /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so

It was reported and fixed in 746758. Marking as duplicate.
