Empathy sends too many notifications

Binary package hint: empathy

Empathy is sending a new notification for every message. So, for example if user <email address hidden> will send 7 messages like "message1", "message3", etc. Empathy will show 7 notifications. Better idea would be to add a new message to existing notification, so the notifications aren't annoying like in pidgin.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot.
